What Styles Of Radiators Are Available

The radiator was invented sometime around 1856 by a man called Franz San Galli. It is a common misconception amongst most that the subject of radiators is a boring one however, this is not the case. The market is so wide now and filled with so many designs and methods of heating that you will struggle to find something that is not of interest. If you have a traditional style home then you may want to consider a traditional type of radiator which would normally be cast iron radiators, however if you are look for a something more upmarket and modern then a good choice would be flat panel radiators or another type of designer radiators.
The purpose of radiators is to heat up their surrounding areas, this is done by the transferring of thermal energy. But we all know their main purpose is to hang the washing on. There is not only the radiator design to consider however, you should also take into account the different types of heating and which one would suit your needs best. One of the first methods of heating to look at is the hot water baseboard which is often associated with cast iron radiators. Very tall buildings have to use a different system to conventional homes due to their height, this is often got round by using a steam system which utilises pressure in order to force the heat upwards.
In recent years there have been some technological advances in the way people heat their homes using radiators. You can have radiators or heating almost anywhere you like in your home now and one way of doing this is under floor heating. If you have a flooring material that is a good conductor of heat then underfloor heating would be advisable, all you need to do is install a network of pipes underneath and your feet (and the rest of the house) will be toasty warm. This is an effective heating system but can be quite expensive.
Designer radiators may be the next choice of you are looking to update your heating system and your home. As with most home furnishings there is a multitude of designs you can now choose to bring your home up to date and give it a modern feel. You no longer need to have the conventional white radiators that have been so popular over the last century; new developments have come into play which allows for a much artier feel. Flat panel radiators are included in this and can be designed in many shapes and styles in order to suit your home.
Now the market has expanded to the point it is at, there really is no limits when it comes to replacing your old radiators, even the most stylish and modern of homes can be kept up to date just by using designer radiators such as flat panel radiators, or if you want to keep the traditional feel in your home then why not try cast iron radiators, the choice is yours.
